چکیده

A micro-projection dynamic backlight for multi-view three-dimensional (3D) display is proposed. The proposed includes a light emitting diodes (LEDs) array, lenticular lens and scattering film. LED the lens, film construct structure. In this structure, LEDs in array are divided into several groups. from each group can be projected to by forms series of bright stripes. different groups have horizontal positions, so these stripes corresponding also positions. Therefore, they used as backlight. Because distance between much larger than films, imaging progress will make width smaller that LEDs, pitch decreased. According 3D theory, with small help increase number views. very suitable display. An experimental prototype was developed, results show correctly complete directional projection parallax images form

Multi–view Autostereoscopic 3d Display

Autostereoscopic displays provide 3D perception without the need for special glasses or other head gear. Three basic technologies exist to make such displays: spatial multiplex, multi-projector and time-sequential. These can be used to make two types of useful device: two-view, head-tracked displays; and multi-view displays. The former tend to be single-viewer systems while the latter can suppo...

Real-time pupil tracking backlight system for holographic 3D display

We propose an automatic three-dimensional (3D) pupil tracking backlight system for holographic 3D display system with large image size and full-parallax accommodation effect. The proposed tracking module is applied to a holographic 3D display system with two sets of directional holographic imaging module composed of 2×2 large scale lens array and 22-inch high-resolution liquid crystal display 3...

Multi-view autostereoscopic projection display using rotating screen.

A new technique for multi-view autostereoscopic projection display is proposed, and demonstrated. The technique uses two mobile projectors, a rotating retro-reflective diffuser screen, and a head-tracking camera. As two dynamic viewing slits are created at the viewer's position, the slits can track the position of the eyes by rotating the screen. The display allows a viewer to move approximatel...

Multi-Viewer Autostereoscopic Display with Dynamically-addressable Holographic Backlight

An autostereoscopic display system, which allowed multiple viewers simultaneously by use of head-tracking, was previously demonstrated for TV applications in the ATTEST project. However, the requirement for a dynamically addressable, movable backlight presented several problems for the illumination source. In this paper, the authors demonstrate how the use of a novel laser-based holographic pro...

View-projection animation for 3D occlusion management

Inter-object occlusion is inherent to 3D environments and is one of the challenges of using 3D instead of 2D computer graphics for visualization. Based on an analysis of this effect, we present an interaction technique for view-projection animation that reduces inter-object occlusion in 3D environments without modifying the geometrical properties of the objects themselves. The technique allows ...
